About

Vincent Weijburg - Founder, TrotStar Technologies

I'm Vincent Weijburg. I studied computer science at Imperial College London, and for more than twenty years I have worked in every role of the software delivery lifecycle, as a developer, business analyst, enterprise architect and team lead, for global consultancies, energy companies and international institutions. On every project my strong point was being the link between the business and the technical side: I speak both languages.

I'm also in a club of business angels that invests in tech start-ups, so I see a lot of what is being built. I have worked with AI since mid 2024. From the summer of 2025 I also used it to organise my own work, and no longer only for code. The turning point was Claude Code at the end of 2025. Since then my own companies run on it every day, and TrotStar Technologies sets the same thing up for businesses run by their owner.

In twenty years of projects, the problem was rarely the software. It was always the data.

What I do

Everything out of the subscription you pay for.

I set things up so that you get all the value out of your Claude subscription. A business that pays for Claude and uses it as a chat window gets a small part of what it pays for. My guess is about a tenth. The knowledge base, and the app set up on it, are what let the same subscription read the mail, open the files and carry out work.

The plans you put aside.

I unlock AI so it can carry out the ideas and plans you had for your business and put aside, because they would take too much time or looked too complicated to take on. With the knowledge base in place, the items on that list become work the AI can do.

Principles

Demo first

Every conversation starts with a working demo built around your business. If it shows no clear value within 30 minutes, it stops there.

Integrity over revenue

No pressure to oversell, extend engagements or recommend complex solutions when simple ones work. Sometimes the right answer is that no new technology is needed.

Phased work, no lock-in

Work runs in phases, and each phase delivers something ready to use. You can stop after any phase. Continuing depends on the results.

Independence as the goal

Every engagement ends with something your team can run on its own. A long-term dependency on me would mean the engagement failed.

Book a free demo

A short conversation, followed by a demo built live around your business. It takes about an hour, with nothing to prepare and nothing to hand over.

The goal is that you walk out saying "I get it". If the demo shows no clear value within 30 minutes, it stops there.

If it clicks, one meeting with whoever signs, to agree what it should achieve. Then the first paid step, the AI readiness scan, paid by the hour with a maximum agreed with you before it starts.
